Holiday Marketing for Your Training Business

We’re all familiar with the many marketing opportunities the upcoming seasonal holidays offer for retail businesses, but is there a way for an entrepreneurial Training Center to jump on board as well? Today’s post offers some suggestions to consider as we quickly approach the busiest time of the year.

The Small Business Administration website has some ideas that an ASHI or MEDIC First Aid Training Center director could customize to suit the nature of a training business, such as:

Hold a special sale for your best customers only. If you have repeat customers who turn to you for frequent training and re-training, why not offer them one discounted class for 2017 if they pre-book that class with you on Black Friday or Small Business Saturday of this year?

Choose a charity to get involved with, and get your customers involved too. Offer a discount or free “gift card” for a seat in one of your classes or perhaps a blended learning credit for customers who volunteer a certain amount of time to the charity or donate a certain amount.

Stand out from the crowd by sending real holiday cards, not e-cards. They’re more likely to get noticed. Or send Thanksgiving or New Year’s cards to distinguish your communication from all the other cards that fill our mailboxes at this time of year. A lovely holiday card or a thank you note is a great way to put your name in front of your customers and remind them you are there whenever they need to schedule some emergency care training.

Many corporations need to use their allocated budgets by the end of the calendar year. Be sure you get your Training Center on their radar for some of those budget dollars before 2016 gets away from us.

Need more ideas to spark new life into your Training Center? Have you registered for Spark 2016, the HSI International Conference in Phoenix, October 24-26, 2016? Learn from the industry’s best, including your ASHI and MEDIC First Aid colleagues, at this fun, information-packed three-day event.
