New ASHI Epinephrine Auto-Injector Program

Written by HSI Blog Team | August 7, 2017

HSI is pleased to announce a brand new program for the ASHI emergency care library. ASHI’s G2015 Use and Administration of Epinephrine Auto-Injectors teaches students about causes of severe allergic reactions, how to recognize and treat anaphylaxis, the use of auto-injectors and legal considerations for administering epinephrine.

Regulations on the administration of epinephrine vary greatly from state to state and depend on the industry or market segment. The HSI regulatory department requested approval for the program in four market segments:

  • General public (Good Samaritan)
  • Childcare providers
  • Schools
  • Camps

For more information on this new program, including a link to a document outlining the regulatory approvals by state, please visit the Epinephrine Auto-Injectors course page or call 800-447-3177.
